Eight is Great!
Olivia turned eight on August 1, which just doesn't seem possible but she assured me that she is no longer a baby (in her eyes, at least). Since her birthday was on a Wednesday, we had a birthday breakfast for her, and then two parties at a later date. As you can see, she did just fine with presents on her birthday!
Birthday donut! Eight candles barely fit on it.
Olivia is completely obsessed with Monster High. She has every single doll, most of the accessories, and she makes elaborate stories for them to act out. So, of course, her birthday had to be a Monster High party!
We are so proud of our birthday girl!
Make a wish! Her party this year was a slumber party with 10 eight year old girls! Yes, we are crazy and we only slept for four hours, but the girls had a fantastic time! Olivia's big hugs at the end telling us that it was the best birthday ever made the entire party worth it.
The girls painting jewelry boxes and their initial.
Flashlight tag and hide/seek time!
Eight...not a baby, not a tween, still willing to be silly, what a great age!
Early morning dance party.
Olivia stayed awake until about 6:30pm that day before giving in to some much needed sleep!
Birthday party #2 was a pool party with some of her boy friends (she really could not understand why her boy friends could not attend the sleepover, too!).
