Christmas

Another Christmas has come and gone, unless you are Olivia who still believes that Santa (aka "HoHo") will still be coming back with more toys for her. We have tried to tell her that Santa has already brought her every toy known to man (except for TMX Elmo we are VERY happy to say), but she is still waiting. Olivia loved opening her many, many gifts - including her very own cowbell. Thus far the favorites seem to be her purple squishy ball (a $2 stocking stuffer!), a magnetic Princess "paper doll" set, doctor kit, and new wooden food items for her kitchen set. A selection of pictures from the holiday festivities...

Over the River and Through the Woods, to Grammy's House We Go... with our favorite Wiggles Holiday CD in hand!

Cookie decorating at Grandma's house is an annual tradition, although Joe sees it as his annual torture. Olivia believed in using mounds of icing - preferably purple - and using as many sprinkles as possible. Believe it or not, she actually did not eat/sample every cookie she decorated - she stopped herself after eating three (sugar high!)!

One of Olivia's favorite activities this year was setting out the cookies & milk for HoHo and a carrot for Rudolph. She then received her own special letter of thanks from HoHo (thank you mom and Aunt Rachel), which she carried around for 2 hours afterwards, showing everyone over and over.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Baimas!

Thanks for stopping back by to check out the happenings in the Baima family. Quite a bit has been going on recently, so here's an update!

Thanksgiving was a fun time, as usual. We had plenty of great food and great company. Of course, it was a little easier to get some quiet mealtime with Olivia spending time in her favorite place at Aunt Rachel and Uncle Thomas' house...the dog crate. We tried to get her to play with other things, but the lure of that little cage was too great. Hope that isn't a predictor of things to come. Olivia Baima...cat burglar.

We just had a pretty large ice and snow storm blow its way through central Illinois. Luckily, we only lost power for two hours. That was much better than some who lost it for over a week! Anyway, Joe was working that weekend, so Kate and Olivia made their way to Grandma and Grandpa's house for some winter fun. She really enjoyed her time in the snow more this year. Of course, Grandpa had to teach her how to make a snowball.

The snowstorm proved too much cold for one little girl. She decided it was time to be a little more tropical in her wardrobe, despite the frigid temps.

We decided to put the big news at the end of the update this time. Joe sees it like the fun little scenes that you get if you sit through the credits of a movie. Anyway, being in radiology has the perk of unlimited time on the ultrasound machine. That being said, we snuck an early peek at our little Christmas present (don't tell Santa). Our little Noodle is a BOY! Joe is already grooming him to be a left handed pitcher for the Cardinals, and Kate is freaking out about being squirted during diaper changes. We're all very excited, and I guess it is Mr. Noodle until further notice.

Thanks again for coming to see how we are doing. Feel free to leave comments below!
