A Perfectly Princess Tea Party
Olivia, my mom, and I spent our last morning in Disney attending the Perfectly Princess Tea Party at the Grand Floridian hotel. The 3 boys had the morning together to go to the Jedi Training Academy in Hollywood Studios (which will be a later blog). This was a 2 hour tea party with "Miss Rose Petal" acting as narrator/hostess, and a special appearance by Princess Aurora. After tea time, the princesses then paraded around the hotel to demonstrate their newly learned royal skills.
Here is Olivia with Miss Rose Petal. The princess guests were encouraged to dress up as their favorite princess, and Olivia selected Aurora (even though her favorite princess is Jasmine). According to the story, Miss Rose Petal was once a miniature rose in the forest surrounding Sleeping Beauty's castle. And when the 3 fairies were traveling to greet baby Aurora for the first time, they heard the rose singing and picked the flower to give as a gift. The rose then became Miss Rose Petal and now teaches girls to be princesses. Disney has a story for everything.
Princess Aurora made an entrance after Miss Rose Petal had properly instructed the girls on how to greet a princess. Here is Aurora teaching the girls how to dance like a princess.
Princess Aurora gave each girl a My Disney Aurora doll as a gift (think American Girl doll but with Disney clothes). Olivia named hers Princess Mickey.
