Jack O'Lantern Spectacular
Every year we make definite plans to attend "Jack Spectac" at Washington Park. It is a wonderful Halloween event with 2009 carved, lit pumpkins arranged around the carillon and botanical gardens. If you live in the Springfield area, we highly recommend attending this next year. This year, the event was held the day we returned from Disney, but we didn't let that stop us! (blog postings from Disney to come later...the number of pics is overwhelming the computer right now!)
Ethan was insistent on having this picture taken as another family in front of us had posed in this spot. Monkey see, monkey do seems to be his motto lately!
Olivia was not really in a picture posing mood for the event. Maybe because I had been hounding her with the camera for 7 straight days in Disney??? I was able to snap this shot by one of her favorite pumpkins (because it had "hair", lipstick, and long eyelashes).
Darth Vader seems to be following us! (You'll understand what I mean when you see the future Vader pics on the blog.)

is that snow in the pic with joe and ethan? we had lots of fun attending this event when we were there. can't wait to see all the disney pics!

Great pumpkin pics! I really missed going this year. :(
Good luck with the Disney pictures! Our Disney post was the first for our blog, I think. Curt was in charge because he is much better about narrowing down than I am. For our next trip, I think I'm going to write a post for each day of the trip like my friend Courtney does. Too hard to narrow down a terrific vacation into a handful of pics! Can't wait to see!
