It's Potty Time!!
This has become the mantra at our house the past 4 days. We are actively potty training Olivia at the moment, and it is hard work! Joe and I have used the words "pee pee", "poo poo", and "potty" more in the past 4 days than the rest of our lives combined. Thus far we have been having many successes, many accidents, and 2 "poo poo" successes. We were worried that Olivia was holding in her poo poo for awhile, but hopefully now that she realizes the prize is much bigger for going poo poo in her potty that will stop (she is allowed to pick an Easter egg surprise after each success). Now if we can just get her to use the big potties in public places. At home she is in big girl underwear (except at nap and bed times) but we are still too chicken to take her out in public without her pull-ups on.
And on a completely different topic, Olivia has become quite the little helper in the kitchen. She recently helped to make blackberry muffins, and after the muffins were in the oven she decided to concoct her own recipe. However, flour, salt, blue food coloring, Mrs. Dash, pepper, and milk did not sound good to any of us to try, so we'll never know how her first recipe turned out.
Ethan continues to do well at 30 weeks along. His latest ultrasound revealed a head full of long hair and long eyelashes so he may need a haircut immediately after birth! Joe and I are traveling to Iowa City later this month to look for rentals and preschools - time to start getting serious about the move at the end of June! Now we just need some motivation for packing.
