Easter for the Baimas
Easter at our home is always a fun whirlwind of traditional events. Although, Olivia admitted that she does not believe in the Easter bunny anymore, so I wonder how this will change things in the future? I believe that she will always want an Easter basket - I mean, who doesn't want free chocolate? But I think that her egg hunt days and posed Easter bunny pictures will be coming to an end within a few years. But, at least she still loves to color eggs! Both kids put a lot of time and thought into coloring their eggs this year. MUCH different than when they were toddlers and all eggs looked gray since they just moved the eggs from one color to another until we cut them off!
Olivia's colored eggs. At least she helps me eat the two dozen eggs! Joe and Ethan want nothing to do with eating the Easter eggs.

Easter morning! Both kids were very excited to see their Easter baskets full of candy and toys.
A chilly egg hunt outside in the backyard. Winter coats were definitely needed this early in the morning!
Even though Ethan has grown three inches since last year, he still is just not tall enough to reach all of the hidden eggs!
The Easter bunny mixed things up this year with the eggs. More money, less candy, and a puzzle to solve! Each egg included a letter that Olivia was able to unscramble to discover the meaning - four tickets to the Katy Perry concert in July in Chicago! Ethan's face says it all!

We spent the holiday with Joe's mom and step-dad. We always enjoy this tradition!

Ethan was one age category below Olivia, and was thrilled to find the golden egg to redeem for a large toy.

It has become our Easter tradition to go the Lincoln museum after brunch. I highly recommend making a visit there this year, as there are many large attractions commemorating the anniversary of Lincoln's funeral.
